Installation Service for Pastor Danny Finney

Thank you to our dear friends who came from near and far to the installation service for Pastor Danny Finney. There was such a sweet spirit in the house for this historic occasion. We were so blessed by the singing of Bro. Lee Cook and the worship team from Bethel United Apostolic Church, as well as the members of Milledgeville Pentecostal Church. Bro. Jimmy Kelley preached a powerful, anointed message, and Bishop Dwight Cook led a stirring dedication of our new pastor. Special thanks to the Grey Road Church members who worked so hard to provide delicious refreshments after the service. We had a wonderful time of fellowship with our visitors. As we begin a new chapter of Grey Road Church history, we will always remember and be thankful for the heritage left to us by Bishop and Sister Johnson. It is our desire to continue their work for the Lord in this community.

A Personal Thank You from Pastor Finney:

Thank you to everyone who helped make the installation service a blessing and a success. I was humbled by the presence of so many dear friends as well as the prayers and support of those who wanted but were unable to attend. Special thanks to Bishop Dwight Cook, Pastor Lee Cook, and the worship team from Bethel United Apostolic Church, as well as Pastor Jimmy Kelley and the singers from Milledgeville Pentecostal Church. To my Grey Road Church family, I thank you for your love, your support, your prayers, and your hard work. I will always be grateful for the outstanding leadership, personal guidance and love of Bro. and Sis. Johnson and will do my best to honor the work they entrusted to me. I desire your prayers as we go forward working for the Lord. May God bless you.

Operation Kid-to-Kid Update

During Sky VBS, our children and staff had the opportunity to participate in Operation Kid-to-Kid, a mission project in partnership with Group Cares and World Vision. The donations we collected were combined with donations from churches across the country and are being used to purchase mosquito nets to be sent to the country of Mali. Malaria is a leading cause of death in children under 5, with more than 2,000 children dying every day. The mosquito nets purchased by this project will save the lives of many children in Mali by preventing deadly mosquito bites.

Just think, how many more people will now have the opportunity to hear the Gospel? Our kids loved being a part of this project!

Bishop & Sister Johnson Funeral DVD clarification

This is to clarify something that has been brought to our attention.

DVDs of both Bishop and Sis. Johnson’s funeral services are still available. The total cost for all of them is $40. If you would like to purchase only Bishop Johnson’s service, the cost is $15. Sis. Johnson’s service is $25 because it contains two discs.

We are working on a way to accept payment over the internet, but in the meantime, checks can be mailed to the church address and we will send your requested DVD as soon as possible. Thank you and God bless.
